Maureen is the Life Sciences Pennsylvania 2020 CEO of the Year. She has been appointed to the Life Sciences PA BOD, AdvaMed BOD, and AdvaMed Accel BOD to give voice to small emerging medical device companies. She is Chair of the Industrial Advisory Board for the Penn State Center for Biodevices. She is an alumnus of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business program. Maureen received her Ph.D. from Penn State University.

Roger spearheads neural device developments with a unique talent for challenging engineers and fostering a collaborative work environment. He drives product innovation that creates products that are both viable and attractive to sell off. Roger earned his B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Florida and his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Penn State University.

Doug is responsible for managing the ISO-certified quality management system (QMS). He ensures design and manufacturing compliance to ISO 13485, ISO 14971, 21 CFR 820, Medical Devices Directive 93/42/EEC, and the Medical Devices Single Audit Program (MDSAP). He is also responsible for submissions to regulatory bodies, including the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Doug earned M.S. in Material Science & Engineering from Drexel University.

Chris oversees the company finances to ensure government compliance, works with external CPAs, administers government contracts, manages payroll, supervises Actuated’s HR efforts, corporate culture initiatives, new employee orientation, and employee benefits. He leads the company’s IT infrastructure with a third-party IT & Cybersecurity company. Chris earned his B.S. in Information Technologies from Phoenix University.

Kevin is responsible for development and optimization of new device concepts as well as continued advancement and evolution of Actuated’s current technologies. He focuses on performance metrics and evaluation throughout the design process. He is an expert in finite element analysis and predictive device design. He earned his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins Univ. and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Bioengineering from Penn State Univ.

Olga is responsible for preclinical and clinical study designs based on rigorous scientific methods. She leads the product reimbursement strategy development. She is clinical Site Monitor and oversees ongoing clinical studies. She earned her B.S. in Animal Science from the Univ. of Florida and both her M.S. and Ph.D. in Physiology from the Penn State Univ.

Ian is responsible for managing Actuated’s manufacturing activities and ensuring that production, performance, and quality standards are met. He ensures that the production of existing products is FDA cGMP compliant and works with engineers to transition new products through V&V and scale-up and into efficient production.
